At the beginning of summer I installed a 660 gallon rain collection unit in the back of the house. I’ve been slowly perfecting it by adding a better filtration system, installing a small pump which allows me to use it with a hand sprayer or sprinkler, updating the galvanized roof to be hinged allowing access to the tops of the tanks, and installing a better overflow system. It really does pay off to install one of these guys and not use the expensive city water. I’m also thinking of adding another 330 gallon unit and want to enhance the first flow diverter to function automatically; emptying itself after it rains.

On the way up to Oklahoma I stopped off and took pics of a project I had worked on about two years ago.
I also saw that they were putting up new highway signage supports. Looks better. Old design – Last image.
